This is a good quality black and white lithograph from the original, on thick glossy photographic paper with a U.V. protective coating,
cropped, and mounted on a single 8x10 inch backing board **which is included as part of the print that you can see here (see photo)
, with caption and photography information on the back of the Waipahu Depot Road(?) and mill in the background 1930's (or earlier). It is shrink wrapped to protect it from damage and has preservation tips and Hawaii's sugar history included in the label on the back. This is a very nice photo and is popular at retail locations in Hawaii.
It would make a great birthday or holiday gift for someone who likes sugar industry mills or historic location images of Hawaii. They are popular reasonably priced decorations for restaurants, offices, homes, or stores where people can see them.

This photo is printed on glossy surface paper and the photo offered has more gray tones, deep, richer blacks, less contrast, and has the unique look of a black and white print, which has a different tonal range and brightness than you may see on your individual computer screen. It is printed on 8x10 inch paper from a copy negative and margins may be slightly trimmed. **When it is cropped and attached to the single mat 8x10" backing board you will be able to see the backing board around the borders of the print. It makes the print look like there is a margin around the edges of the photo which you can see here. Prints are permanently mounted to the acid free backing board using archival photo adhesive and cannot easily be removed from the backing board without damaging the photo. An 11x14 inch frame (or larger) with a custom cut mat from a frame shop or art store is the suggested way to display this photo. If you want to use a larger frame and mat and you can't find an experienced framer who knows how to do it, contact us and we can provide information explaining how it can be done. This is recommended for best visual and artistic impact in displaying this photo, although many people are happy using a standard 8x10" frame and displaying the image as is.
