    Description

    This is designed for vehicles where the steering column is in front of the steering rack. Most ‘60s/70s vans. Steering box is fitted right at bottom of steering column, with output shafted directed towards rotated steering rack.
    CNC machined, 6061 aluminum housing and bearing plate. Double sealed ball bearings on shafts. Shafts are supported on both sides of gears. Hardened bevel gears with a 1:1 ratio. Input and output shafts are 3/4dd. Approximate size of unit not including shaft stick out is 3-3/4” square. Housing has 3/8-16 tapped holes to facilitate mounting.
    Output rotation is reversed so after rotating steering rack forward, rotation at the rack is correct.
