    Description

    Blue, pink and orange colors on Calcite(weak orange) and Franklinite(NF).
    Location: Sterling Mine - Ogdensburg, NJ.
    Dimensions: 3.5" x 3" x 1", weight 7 oz.
    Abbreviations: SW: shortwave, LW: longwave, NF: Non Fluorescent.
    As is the case with all fluorescent mineral specimens, a good quality UV lamp of adequate output and appropriate wavelength (short wave vs. long wave) is required to see the fluorescent response depicted in the photographs.  An ordinary "black light" will not work for these minerals.
    Pictures taken with a Canon t3i and SuperBright 3 short wave UV lamp SW. LW is the Convoy 2.
