    Description

Elektra MSD Espresso Flat Burr 50mm Coffee Grinder, Stepless Adjustment, 220 Volt, 150 Watts. Brass and stainless finish. This comes with a Euro type electric plug. Owner's manual is included. This is made in Italy.
You will need a voltage regulator to operate this in the USA or North America. A voltage regulator is not included, but these can be purchased on eBay, Amazon, or other electronic stores. This is 150 watts, but you should get a regulator that is double that, just to be on the safe side.
There is a small cosmetic ½ inch scratch toward the bottom of the machine, but it's hard to see in the photos.
The only reason I'm selling this is that I got a single dose grinder, and I can't justify keeping both, although I would like to. I have used this Elektra for about 9 months in conjunction with my La Pavoni and have been extremely pleased with it. These retail for approximately 9.
    Manufacturer's Information
Stepless grinding adjustment to fine tune your dialing in the espresso grind particle size for most espresso machines
Programmable on demand dosing using the dial on right hand side near bottom base – needs to be changed if adjusting the grind adjustment wheel
50 mm flat grinding burrs for most home espresso machines
Adjustable portafilter fork – 4mm metric Hex key screw not included for adjustment of fork
Low profile tinted bean hopper with stop pullout lever (can be difficult to pull at first since there is a break in for this)
Removable grinds catch tray – hole locks in with front rubber foot
Available in 2 finishes: brass or chrome
Please note that there is a small hole on the left side near the grinder adjustment wheel. This hole was for the stepped spring pin on the previous stepped adjustment model.
If the grinder motor does not run when pressing in the front switch under the chute, please make sure the grinder is powered on. If the power switch is pressed in, please make sure the cord is plugged into the unit and the wall. Please double check the outlet for power with another appliance. Lastly, take the grinder adjustment out 2 full settings coarser and then test. If the setting is too fine, the burrs can lock up and the grinder will not power on.
    Changing grind settings
: As with all coffee grinders, it is very important to only change grind settings when the unit is powered ‘on’ and the burrs are in motion. If you do not do this, the burrs will ‘gunk’ up and require cleaning by you every time this occurs. Changing the grind settings when the burrs are not in motion will render the grinder to only produce very coarse grinds or no grinds at all. If this result occurs, this will be considered operator error for lack of following directions, and not be classified as a defective grinder.
    Static issues
: There are static issues with all grinders, even the highest quality models. We firmly believe that the static comes from the coffee beans. If you are having static problems with your coffee grinder, trying using a different blend of beans.
    Replacing burrs
: NEVER use a flat head screwdriver and hammer to wedge under the burrs for removal. This could badly damage your grinder.
    Electrical cord
: Please note that the electrical cord is placed between the packaging (foam or cardboard) and the underside body of the grinder. During shipping, it is normal for a bend or insignificant blemish / slice to damage the cord.
    Manual switch models:
These models are no longer being produced by the factory.
    Holding pin:
Contrary to the manual included with this grinder, Elektra no longer includes the holding pin in this stepless, worm gear adjustment grinder as the older version had a stepped adjustment that required the holding pin. The hole still exists for the pin on the body.
